The 31st Summer Universiade was held in Chengdu. The Chengdu Universiade is a world-class comprehensive sports event second only to the Olympic Games hosted by the International University Sports Federation. It is also the first world comprehensive sports event held in western China.

Thanks to the full-chain R&D and design, system integration and full-service delivery capabilities, Huati Technology has deployed and built nearly 1,200 smart street lights (including renovation) in the core areas of the Universiade, such as Dong'an Lake Sports Park and Sichuan Investment Tennis Center.

The Universiade smart street lights can realize multiple shared functions by integrating smart lighting, smart transportation video surveillance ,energy-saving control, WiFi, LED information display screens, new energy charging piles, photovoltaic power generation and energy storage and other IoT smart devices. This is a demonstration upgrade of the "Smart Tree" of smart street lights for the Winter Olympics, and also an upgrade of smart construction in the Universiade area in addition to urban beautification and urban intensification.By connecting more IoT smart devices to smart street lights and combining technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, and edge computing, we can form a comprehensive three-dimensional perception of people, vehicles, objects on the road, and various components of urban governance, making perception smarter and more accurate.
